ELDER BIRDSONG (WORSHIP COORDINATOR)
WORSHIP COORDINATOR – The worship coordinator’s responsibility is to schedule men to work in the worship service. This schedule is completed at least one week ahead of time. He will also make sure that we have enough communion supplies for several weeks
WANDA MANNING (GREETERS MINISTRY)
GREETER LEADER - ministry is responsible for creating a team of greeters, briefing them on their responsibilities as greeters, and making sure they are in place at the appropriate time. This means planning and scheduling rotations and having periodic meetings with the greeters to make sure that everyone is on the same page concerning their duties.
GREETERS - Greeters are responsible for superior customer service. You are the first-person guests see when they enter the door, and thus, your job is to greet them with love and a smile. Also, you should make sure all guests receive a visitor’s packet. Furthermore, you should ensure that you are dressed according to the color scheme of that particular week.
ANTHONY MORGAN (BENEVOLENCE MINISTRY)
BENEVOLENCE LEADER – The benevolence leader’s responsibility is to organize all functions of the benevolence ministry. He will work closely with Elder Birdsong (Overseer) and will plan regular benevolence meetings with the members of the benevolence ministry and ensure that the pantry is stocked with canned goods and non-perishable items. The benevolence leader must always be in tune with the benevolence needs of the members.
BENEVOLENCE TEAM MEMBERS – The team members are responsible for attending meetings in person and/or via Zoom, mailing out get well, encouragement, and bereavement cards; as well as assisting with outreach events. Meetings are held periodically, depending on events that are planned.
DEACON GREG CLARK (TRANSPORTATION MINISTRY)
TRANSPORTATION MINISTRY LEADER – The transportation ministry leader’s responsibility is to ensure that all members (within a 20-mile radius) who request bus service are picked up. He/She is to organize a schedule of drivers for services, make sure all drivers are on the church insurance, and make sure the van is properly fueled and serviced.
TRANSPORTATION MINISTRY MEMBERS – The members are responsible for transporting members to and from service. This service will be pre-scheduled.
ANDRE BOYD (YOUNG ADULTS MINISTRY)
OVERSEERS: ROBERT BIRDSONG & XERXES SNELL
YOUNG ADULTS’ MINISTRY LEADER – The young adult ministry leader’s responsibility is to organize all events and functions including conferences, outings, zoom ministry calls and other events. He will meet periodically with the young adult committee members concerning upcoming events.
YOUNG ADULTS’ COMMITTEE MEMBERS – The committee members will lend support to the overall function of the ministry. You will be responsible for attending committee meetings, assisting with activities, and attending ministry functions.
ANTHONY SMITH (EVANGELISM MINISTRY)
OVERSEEING: BRO. XERXES SNELL
EVANGELISM MINISTER –The leader of the evangelism ministry is responsible for formulating an evangelism team and strategy and working with that team bringing lost souls to Christ. He will meet periodically with team members and discuss methods and ways to set up bible studies (outreach).
EVANGELISM TEAM MEMBERS – The evangelism team members’ responsibility is to work with the evangelism minister to develop outreach methods as well as reach out and engage with potential prospects after service. Team members will be prepared to teach a soul winning bible class at any given time. Team members will periodically have team meetings in person and/or via Zoom.
XERXES SNELL (JOSHUA MEN’S MINISTRY)
MINISTRY LEADER – The men’s ministry leader is responsible for organizing all men’s ministry functions to promote unity and fellowship among the brethren. The men’s ministry leader will organize the brother’s breakfast, brother’s outings, Men’s Day Programs, spiritual Zoom sessions, and any other programs that will help men in spiritual growth.
MEN’S MINISTRY COMMITTEE – These men will assist and work with the ministry leader in implementing men’s ministry functions.
ADDIE GRIER (LADIES MINISTRY)
OVERSEEING: BRO. XERXES SNELL
MINISTRY LEADER – The ladies ministry leader is responsible for organizing all ministry functions to promote unity and fellowship among the sisters. The ladies ministry leader will organize events, outings, programs, spiritual Zoom sessions, and any other programs that will help sisters in their spiritual growth.
COMMITTEE LEADER – The ladies ministry committee leaders are responsible for organizing events that pertain to and are specific to the area in which they are working. The committee leader will communicate with the ministry leader about
their events.
XERXES SNELL (SECURITY)
ASSISTANT: HORACE CANNADY, JR.
SECURITY TEAM LEADER –The security leader’s responsibility is to ensure members are safe at all times including scheduling any additional security for special events.
SECURITY TEAM MEMBERS – The security team must be prepared to protect the occupants of the church. They must have a concealed weapons license. They must be willing to attend training sessions periodically and willing to carry their licensed concealed firearm in the event of an event.
DEACON LONZA MORGAN (MEDIA MINISTRY)
OVERSEEING: BRO. XERXES SNELL
MEDIA MINISTERY LEADER – The media ministry leader’s responsibility is to ensure that all operations of the sound booth (including personnel) are functional. He/she will also be responsible for ensuring that all Sunday and Wednesday services are live streamed. This person is also responsible for ordering supplies for the ministry.
MEDIA TEAM MEMBERS – Give support to the team leader. Be prepared to work on Sunday’s and/or Wednesday’s. In addition, the members’ responsibility is to make sure that the church is promoted through the latest technological methods in an effort to reach out to more people.
ANTHONY & TASHEBA SMITH (YOUTH MINISTRY)
OVERSEEING: ELDER ALONZO MORGAN
YOUTH MINISTRY LEADERS – The youth minister’s responsibility is to organize all youth events and functions including Youth Conferences, Youth Days, and Youth Outings. They will meet periodically with the youth committee members and parents concerning upcoming events.
YOUTH COMMITTEE MEMBERS – The committee members will lend support to the overall function of the ministry. You will be responsible for attending committee meetings and assist with youth activities and fundraising. You will also be responsible for encouraging the youth.
XERXES M. SNELL (PROGRAM COMMITTEE)
PROGRAM COMMITTEE LEADER – The program committee leader is
responsible for calling meetings of the committee whenever the church is having
a program and chairing all meetings. The leader is to be the liaison between the
committee and the leadership, informing them of events and progress.
PROGRAM COMMITTEE – The program committee is responsible for organizing
all church programs. The committee will meet regularly whenever programs are
in planning in person and/or via Zoom. All committee members will work on sub-
committees to complete assignments given.
VIVIAN TINDAL (EDUCATION MINISTRY)
OVERSEEING: ELDER ALONZO MORGAN & XERXES SNELL
EDUCATION MINISTRY LEADER – The education ministry leader is responsible
for organizing all aspects of education. He/she is to make sure there are enough
teachers to teach students and the teachers are properly equipped and prepared
for teaching. He/she will be responsible for having periodic meetings with
teachers and monitor classroom activity in Sunday School and Wednesday Night
Bible Class.
EDUCATION MINISTRY MEMBERS (TEACHERS) – The teachers are
responsible for teaching their students the Word of God according to the Word.
They are to equip themselves through thorough preparation. They are to be
prepared with proper supplies for their students. They are to be in the classroom
NANCY MORGAN (KITCHEN COMMITTEE)
KITCHEN COMMITTEE LEADER – The kitchen committee leader is responsible
for organizing all church events where food is served in the fellowship hall. This
person shall order supplies for the kitchen and any food items for a given event.
Also, the leader is responsible for organizing positions within the kitchen for
committee members to work.
KITCHEN COMMITTEE MEMBERS – The members of the committee are
responsible for serving food for events such as Homecoming, Family & Friends
Day, and Funeral repasts. The members are also responsible for cleaning up the
kitchen after events.
TASHEBA SMITH (BAPTISM COMMITTEE)
OVERSEEING: ELDER ALONZO MORGAN
BAPTISM COMMITTEE LEADER – The baptism committee leader is responsible
for making sure that baptism supplies (clothes, towels, etc…) are stocked.
He/she will also meet with the baptism committee to ensure the proper personnel
is in place when a baptism occurs.
BAPTISM COMMITTEE MEMBERS – The members will ensure that they will be
available to assist someone when there is a baptism, including making sure new
members fill out membership cards.
